NOTD: Chanel Taboo and Illamasqua Glitterati
Chanel Taboo - what can I say? She is a beauty! Deep red-toned purple with sparks of bright blue and a slight coppery sheen at some angles. Most of the time it's more spectacular in the bottle than it is on the nail, sadly - in most lights it's just a deep burgundy/purple with a reddish sheen, similar to Illamasqua Baptiste, which I already have in my collection. But when it catches the light just right, those bright blue sparks make me fall in love all over again!
Taboo's staying power is excellent, which is why after a few days I got bored and applied Illamasqua Glitterati over the top!
Illamasqua Glitterati is a burgundy jelly with holo sequin glitter. It was limited edition as part of last year's Christmas collection and it was so pretty I couldn't resist! I prefer to layer this polish as it can look a bit uneven and chunky on its own, especially if I apply two or three layers.
Chanel Taboo is still showing off in this photo, she really is a limelight hog! But hey, when you know you're fabulous what can you do?

Kristine I cant believe you used to bite your nails, they are so beautiful now.
ReplyDeleteOoh, la, la! This is stunning! I can't decide which I love more, the Chanel on its lonesome or with the Illamasqua topper!
ReplyDeleteLoving both of these Cat - the first one is really dressy and elegant, and the glitter topcoat turns it into downright sassy and fun. Your nails are looking so glam these days darling, adore looking at all the pics, and I'm madly in love with The Kraken - it's divine!
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful combo! Looks so glam. I think I like the Chanel polish better though..
